Short version: the website is a static site, the app uses the Hardcover API token you paste in so it can talk to your account, and the site does not run ads, analytics, or a newsletter form in v1.
When you visit the site, your browser and hosting providers may process normal technical information needed to serve pages, such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and basic request logs. That exists for hosting, uptime, and security.
The site does not collect account signups, payment information, behavioral analytics, or advertising profiles.
The Dustjacket iPhone app uses the Hardcover API token you paste into the app so it can read and update your Hardcover library. That token is stored on-device in the iPhone Keychain.
The app also keeps some library data locally on your device so browsing and queued changes still work when you are offline. That local data is there to make the app work, not to be sold or rented.
If you email hello@dustjacketapp.com, your message and anything you include with it will be used to reply, troubleshoot the problem, and improve the app. Do not send sensitive information that is not needed for support.
Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. What they do with data is outside this policy.
The Dustjacket website does not use analytics or advertising cookies in v1. Basic platform-level technical cookies may still appear if hosting or normal browser behavior requires them.
Support emails are kept as long as reasonably needed to handle support, keep product records, and comply with legal obligations. App data stored on your device stays there until you remove the app, clear the app data, or revoke and replace your Hardcover token.
This policy may change as Dustjacket changes. If that happens, this page will be updated to match how the site and app actually work.
